Christina Himmel

Christina is a dynamic attorney focusing her practice on commercial litigation in various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, sports, hospitality, and real estate, to name a few. She has handled matters in arbitration, state and federal court, and administrative agencies.

Not one to shy away from challenges, Christina loves navigating and solving legal problems. She prides herself on having excellent judgment and credibility. She loves taking depositions and arguing motions and seeks out any opportunity to convince a judge or fact finder to rule in her client’s favor. This has served her well over the past decade and has led to great results. In particular, she has a strong background litigating arbitration issues and was part of a team that successfully reversed a lower court’s order granting a motion to compel arbitration.

In addition to her legal practice, Christina loves writing. She has authored publications featured in the Miami Herald and Daily Business Review including, “Ways to Overcome Work Life Balance Obstacles.” You can also find her writing on LinkedIn.

Christina was born and raised in South Florida. She grew up in Parkland and went to Marjory Stoneman Douglas for high school (Eagle Pride, MSD Strong, and NeverForget). She attended the University of Miami for both undergrad (BBA, cum laude) and law school (JD, summa cum laude). She graduated fifth in her law school class and served as an editor on the University of Miami Law Review. She made the Dean’s List every semester, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and received numerous awards for the highest grade in her classes.

Giving back to the legal community is important to Christina. To that end, she spends time mentoring the next generation of lawyers. She currently co-chairs the marketing and social media and sponsorship committees for the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Christina’s work ethic, discipline, and love of challenges extend beyond the legal profession. She has been dancing and cheering since she was 3 years old, and she continues to do both. She was a Miami Dolphins cheerleader during her undergrad years at UM and still cheers at halftime during alumni games every few years. She is at the gym most mornings and regularly takes pilates class.
